I've been to Tonic a bunch - it's fine, sort of a more chill type bar, but still pretty nice - has a dance floor downstairs.
33 is pretty trendy. it's nice if you don't mind paying $10 for a shot. but they try to do too much...they try to make it a nice comfortable lounge, and put in a tiny dance floor downstairs...but then they crank the music so you couldn't talk if you wanted to...
A lot of my friends like WonderBar...never been there myself.
Beyond that, i know for a fact that a lot of my friends (girls especially) enjoy Caprice and Felt.
Not really my style...but that's my review for what it's worth.

very good point...a lot of the people i know (classmates, etc) think that they are above everyone...and they strive to be eurotrash...so they enjoy that place a lot! it's why i don't go out with my classmates much..
but tonic is not bad.

yeha i heard 2am!!what the **** is that?oh well thats' why i have a hotel for afterpartyingoh, and we forgot the most important one for partyboy - News. a new york clubhopper is not going to be able to handle clubs that close at 2:00 AM. partyboy might not even be out by then. boston goes dry at 2am (no liquor served after then). all the hotties from all the clubs then all go to this nice restaurant/lounge called News. it feels like you're still at the club. they don't serve booze, but partyboy will probably have something stronger than that anyway

* The Big Easy is an easy place to hook up with chicks. Band until midnight then a dj until close
* The Roxy is pretty good but NYC clubs are far better
* The Rack has a ton of older hot chicks... probably a better fit for you now that you broke the 30 mark... ha ha...
