Gotta see a Chiropractor today, any advice??

Ok so my neck has BEEN KILLING me this whole week, every time I wake up I can barley move it, and in SO MUCH PAIN!! Even throughout the day I am in pain and can only turn my head 35 degrees each way..
Finally today was enough, I took off work and going to see the Chiropractor at 3:30..

I think its either a pinched nerve or worse, how do they treat it?? I do not DO NOT DO NOT want him to crack my neck, I am dyin in pain! So that is NOT an option lol..

Whats the deal with these guys?
    Thanks

I also see the chiropractor for my neck. But let me refer you to a thread in which I was warned against upper cervical manipulations....

Edit: here you are. Scroll down to chico's posts; I still go but it is good to be aware..know what i mean

go see a physical therapist or a trainer.......they will give you stretches and exercises to help your discomfort.
