Bush is laughs..........
He actually made me laugh last night, as in the debate he said "The Haters".....
Used my fav. word............may have to vote for Bush now.
Not. Still, 'twas funny to hear him say "haters".

Hmmm. Work really hard to become successful, put in years for your education and what is the reward, the gov't is going to take take take. Where is the inspiration in Kerry's pland to get ahead? 70% of jobs are created by small business. Small businesses will have to cut jobs when taxes are raised under Kerry's plan.
I have some friends from places like the Czech Republic who left due to socialism being imposed on them so they couldn't get ahead no matter how hard they worked, they can't believe how we should penalize people for being successful. One even said we should make the poor pay the highest rate of taxes as motivation to get out there and do something productive. The tax hike won't mean much to the super rich like Kerry and his wife, but for people making less than a million a year that provide jobs for 10-100 people they are going to feel it and they will pass their pain on down the line.
I am not saying I think Bush is perfect. I think this whole thing boils down to who is going to hurt us less. I have about $200 extra per paycheck due to the creation of the 10% tax bracket and reduction of rates on the middle class. My home owners insurance is up 40%, medical coverage is up 30%, property taxes up 20%, State fees for vehicle registration up 50%. The list goes on and on. I am afraid Kerry will not keep his word to pay for everything he is promising.Last edited by scottp999; 10-09-2004 at 09:42 AM.

I thought it had to be a mistake that he said 'haters' but after thinking about it, i'm sure he meant it. I just shook my head.
We'll see him jogging in ENYC clothing on CNN today.

dont bring the czech republic into this. Those poor people have been terrorized by ****ty gov. First the nazis; then the communists -until they threw them out in the velvet revolution-
Having the poor pay highest tax is not motivation to get rich its a hinderance. It takes money to make money, rich get richer, poor get poorer. always the way it has been and will be.

Understood but, people who make 200k to 1 million a year provide a ton of jobs in this country and they are going to cut their work force when they are taxed at a higher rate. I don't want the government to take from the rich and give to me. I want to be able to work not only hard but smart in order to get ahead. When people become succesful at something and are rewarded with more money they make capital expenditures and hire people to expand their small businesses. I guess we will see what happens. So many people thought the world would end when Clinton became president and it really turned out to be not that big of a transition. The democrats better hope they pick up some seats in the senate and HOR or Kerry won't be able to get anything through.

Kerry claims to be giving those cuts, but with what he wants to do with Medicare A,B, and C, Social Security, tax credits, etc. it will be impossible. He simply cannot lower anyone's taxes. Do the math bro, it just can't happen, not for long.

Swole,
I watch the debates just to see what the hell Bush is going to say. It is unbelievable what comes out of his mouth sometimes. Actually I watch hoping for a disasterous moment from either party. There is the fun, when someone breaks down in all that pressure.

Bush's Timber-Growing Company
Bush got a laugh when he scoffed at Kerry's contention that he had received $84 from "a timber company." Said Bush, "I own a timber company? That's news to me."
In fact, according to his 2003 financial disclosure form, Bush does own part interest in "LSTF, LLC", a limited-liability company organized "for the purpose of the production of trees for commercial sales." (See "supporting documents" at right.)
So Bush was wrong to suggest that he doesn't have ownership of a timber company. And Kerry was correct in saying that Bush's definition of "small business" is so broad that Bush himself would have qualified as a "small business" in 2001 by virtue of the $84 in business income.

nuetral also, but at least Bush doesn't need a cheat sheet in order to debate. It's a sad day when people of high authority are embraced for cheating...wonder why it's such a problem with kids on school.
