1. ## Attention Math gifted people:

OK, I'm a hot rodder and can't do math very well with out a book of forula. I had it written down and lost it.

I need to find RPM for a given tire size, MPH and constant.

I found a formula that answers Final drive ratio, but am not math blessed enough flip it around to get what I want. Formula is:

Final Drive Ratio=(Tire Diameter in Inches x RPM)/(336 x MPH)

So if I wanted to find RPM would I do:

RPM= ((final ratio)(336xmph))/ tire size ?

2. it would be

final ratio / (336xmph) then that would be devided by tire size..

3. No...assuming your first equation is right it would be

RPM = (Final Drive Ratio X 336 X MPH) / Tire Diameter

so you were correct

Is this a play on words? That they, the gifted math people are giving me some math gift? Pretty astute.
