I started hanging around a couple months after AR came around. I remember PB and a lot of the old guys... and threads about raviloi trails and anti-masturbation spiders and such . The atmosphere of AR has changed significantly since '01.

I first came to the board in october of 2001. Didn't know a **** thing and was too intimidated to post a thing. After I procured a small amount of knowledge I joined in may of the following year.

While it's still the best board on the net, I think I joined more or less when it was at its prime in terms of being both an incredible resource of knowledge AND a collection of close knit people (two years ago). There may be far more resources now, but the board's outgrown its smalltown atmosphere...it's as if the walmart rolled in.

Incidentally, I date my time here by recalling the scams of days gone by....mexxxi, soprano, J to name a few....ahhh the memories.

Browsed for a year before joining. BigGreen, BigTexan and MajorPecs: your journals were amazing, and got me hooked on reading this board. I still go back and read them from time to time. I would love to see some of these kinds of journals brought back.

As far as the atmosphere, it's hard to explain, things were much more friendly but at the same time more professional.

I jumped on about the time BigGreen and Major were doing journals and just read alot. I can't really tell how the board has changed over the years really but I like it. I have noticed that the bros I really like are still here.......and a few that I liked that no longer come around.

I believe it is more in Orange County to be exact...he has not been on here in a loooong time....Major Pecs llurks everyonce and a while...he was good friends with Jarrett who is no longer on here....Jarrett I know moved to AZ with his lady.

Yes. There used to be the old board... they switched to this format Aug 2001. A lot of us have been around longer than our join date may say.
