As for being "gangsta" or whatever, big poppa slang rocks in bed-stuy which at the time was just as bad a place as compton. The Reverand Run, Rakim, Eazy E, 2pac, and Chuck D all deserve honerable mentions for various reasons and i think they all tie for second. Oh yeah, and Big Pun was pretty ill too...fatboys got it for some reason.

Since when is dying of AIDS more gangsta than getting "assassinated". And I'm not having a toughman contest between them I was just saying that Biggie was a real thug too. He was telling the truth in his rhymes(don't overanalyze that cuz all rappers exaggerate of course) and I think as a lyricist Eazy couldn't really touch him.
