    History

For some reason I cannot get rid of the history in the address bar. When I go to type in a site...it starts bringing up other sites that I have visited. Deleted cache, history, temp files, etc. Even ran Adaware. They're still there. How can I get rid of these unwanted lingering sites?

ive never heard of it never deleting. maybe try doing it in safemode. for web addresses and such on search pages you can disable auto complete by, tools-internet opts-content-autocomplete-uncheck web addresses.

yeah that's b/c the history button doesn't contain your web address bar like kloter noted...

you can keep the auto-complete on for the future if you want. but there is that button "Clear Forms" on that tab that you can hit every now and then to clear out your web address bar's history.

Will that wipe out all my passwords, etc.

I've got so many things I access daily, it's nice to type in one letter and hit return twice to get online to that website... is any of the above going to interfere with this ability?
