I prefer to listen to stuff like Martina McBride, or maybe some Rascal Flats. Something like that really pumps me up, makes me want to fight almost

    Peace

    My top few lifting songs:
    The clay people - Awake
    Limp Bizkit - Break stuff
Drowning pool - (pretty much anything, but ones like 'sinner' are great)

You want a real pump though?
Starlight Vocal Band - Afternoon delight

    ...incredible lifting song right there

The righteous clang of plates, honestly made and not from carelessly or deliberately throwing weights around. The hiss of breath held and released under 8 plate squats. The creak of the power cage as the bar is lifted off or re-racked on the rack points. The squeak of cables. The whirr of an old but hyoooge ventilation fan up in the eaves. The quiet murmur of serious voices discussing the only topic that should be discussed in a real gym... training, lifting, form, technique. The quiet encouragement to complete a rep or fight a negative, without the juvenile shouts so common these days. THAT is the music I like to train by... not yammering howling clashing noise from a bunch of juvenile delinquents with 14" arms.
