I've been on Ebay, and I'm not loving a lot of what they have. I was on Best Buy, but it all seems over priced. I want a decent LCD or DLP projector for 500-600$ do you guys know any good sites that sells those for cheap?

u can usually talk those dudes down quite a bit at best buy.
How do you talk them down?
what kind of like a flea market. i thought those prices were set...
you cant talk them down at best buy unless you are buying it as an open item..internet is best place
Where on the internet?
i dont know.. go to like best buys website and see if you can find a model you like and then do a google search for that model.. a bunch of places will pop up.. go with low price..
EBAY! You know im right
I'd be carefull about buying an LCD projector second hand or off ebay...
Remember that they have a limited bulb life and any money you save off buying a used unit or of doubtfull origin (like ebay) may come back and bite you in the arse when you have to change the bulb sooner than you'd like. LCD projector bulbs are on the rather expensive side.
Just my 2 cents.

No, a brand new one off ebay. Why do people assume everything on there is second hand?Originally Posted by Red Ketchup

talking guys down at best buy ?? probably not unless you're in mexico where they bargain for anything.
your right.. i worked at best buy for 3 years.. the only thing that you can do is talk some places into including your warranty and all the accessories for your product, for the price of the unit.. otherwise goodluck asking...Originally Posted by KeyMastur

Ebay has become the "Internet Pawn-Shop"... a lot of stuff on ebay is used or of dubious origin. It's easy to repackage an LCD projector in it's box after a few thousands of hours of use...
I bought several sets of Motorola commercial VHF radios for a friends hunting lodge off ebay and at the time 60% of the sellers refused to give me the radios serial numbers before I bid so I could check if they were stolen. That tells ya somehting...
And then there is the issue of warranties...

Then maybe its different in the UK? Very different. Theres alot of second hand stuff on there, but theres is thousands of businesses that make their living off ebay, and sell exclusively on there.Originally Posted by Red Ketchup
IMHO there is a mix of both. Scammers and legit people/businesses. I collect Nike Air Jordan sneakers and i can tell you iv personally been sold fake Jordans on eBay. I also recently bought a brand new factory sealed Dell 9200 laptop from a company on eBay. Its hit or miss sometimes, but buyer beware.
