microsoft.com if you are running xp. i downloaded it and was suprised by all the stuff it found. Bad thing is its a beta version and only last till june i believe but it helps alot
if you have a torrent client installed download ad-aware from one of the many torrent sites still up and running.
there are tons out there. look on download.com.
Use Firefox as your browser instead of Explorer... I promise all problems will fade away.

Ad Aware
Spybot
Spyware Blaster
and the MS one...
Also you can download a free 30 day trial of spysweeper from downloads.com. It is fully versions, and it is one of the best ones I have seen. Picks up things that adware and spybot misses. Also looks and destroy's traces, which I Like.
Thanks silican i'll try that too.

At a bookstore the other day, I saw a book entitled "Sex for Dummies." Why would someone want to teach dumb people how to reproduce? Aren't there enough of them now?
www.sureshotsoftware.com Excellent pop-up blocker, they say you have to buy it, but don't believe them. i have never bought it and have been using it for almost a year.
System Mechanic 5 : Excellent computer cleaner.. Does everything from clean history, to cleaning the reg...They also have a Pro version ( which i have). You can get this trial version at www.iolo.com...
I agree with this but Ad-aware and Spybot are good ones. Sometimes depending on the problem you have to manually remove things from the registry if tyhey continue.Originally Posted by PiecinItUp
Use FireFox. Easy to transition to, tons of useful extensions, and won't get hijacked. Built in popup killer. Also, your E-penis will grow 3 inches once you mention you use Firefox. Also, use Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware in tandem. And for God's sake, have antivirus software running constantly. I recommend Norton, nothing else comes close.
