...protect my email addresses from hacking?
I have a problem of a very personal nature..In a nutshell..a hacker has some pics of me taken from my webcam (when it was tapped) in the middle of a camming a session.
The pics are such that can be misused very easily ..and are very damaging.
His M.O. is to use my email address to send MY pics to my contacts...
What can i do?

Just because he is using your email address has nothing to do with protecting your email. He can spoof your email address just by knowing your email address, no access to your computer needed. Not that hard. He could spoof anyone's address so it looks like it came from you or me or whoever. Bad thing is that he hacked you and got some pics. Theres nothing really you can do except protect your computer so he cant get any more pics of you or the sort.

just to clarify, hes not using your email...hes using his email and spoofing it so it looks like your email. which is why protecting your email has nothing to do with stopping him.

If he got your pic, and had this planned out, he probably got your address book downloaded...but just in case if it was me, Id save my address book out to disk and then delete it.

Bro there might be a few things you can do..... First, is this a web based email address i.e. hotmail, yahoo, etc?

And he told me he's seizing the account and then discarding it... so it's not reaccessable

Not much you can do... He has the pics. Do you personally know this person? I'd hunt the mofo down and whoop his ass and take his computers... (no more pics ;-)

try and report the guy to hotmail admins. i hate web based email, all u get is spam and shiit

Kloter...The guy steals accounts and forfeits the mail services..so they're just phantom accounts...non-reportable, as they change regularly. I believe he said he's hacking tru a proxy
Arthur... I dunno the guy personally but he's told me he attends the same Universaity as i do..which 'narrows' it down to five or six thousand people

Sorry to hear your trouble. That really sucks. Wouldn't a good firewall keep him from hacking into your computer?? or did he get into your hotmail account and take the pics from there?
