They're not really sharps safe, but they do stop someones head from damaging your hand.

I need them for crowd control mainly (and personal security), going to do some hiphop concerts in april...

I've had a pair bust open hitting someone when i used to work security, he pulled a knife, i pulled some lead fists, but the leather was wearing thin. **** got everywhere.
