Ok.. if you're talking about REAL punk rock and not lame ass blink 182 and good charlote post punk crap then here ya go, some great oi/punk bands:
Chaos UK
Buzzcocks
Chaotic Dischord
Darkbuster (local punk band, really good)
English Dogs
FEAR (classic)
GG Allin (raunchy, dirty, filthy if you're into that kind of thing)
Major Accident
The mentors
Major Accident
THE MISFITS (old misfits, new misfits minus Danzig blow)
New York Dolls
Oxymoron (german punk rock)
Partisians
Skeptix
The Exploited
Discharge
Wretched Ones
The dead boys (can we say greatest punk band of all time?)
THe 4-skins (great band... knows how to throw a riot)
Angelic Upstarts (good when they started, turned too **** lefty/political after a while though)
Anti-heros (decent newer american band)
Anti-Nowhere legaue
Anti-social
Argy Bargy
Cocksparrer (greatest non political oi band out there)
Blitz (started out as incredable, razors in the night etc.. got really lousy)
Broken Bones
Cockney rejects
Skrewdriver (older stuff is much more punk rock and not political at all, check out All Skrewed Up, it's before they turned into one of the first racist rock bands in England)
Combat 84 (When you're on your knees with a gun to your head, it's better to be dead than fukcing RED! BDTR TEEHEE)
Condemmed 84 (amazing band)
Sham 69 (a bunch lf leftie queers, but still made some good oi music in their day)
Stormwatch (one of the best american oi bands to ever exist)
The bruisers (before Al bar left for those queer ass losers the dropkick murphys, this is where he started. incredible band)
The buisness (although i did have the pleasure of making their singer Micky fitz beg for mercy they still made some good music in England)
The last resort (A must have)
The Macc Ladds (Beer sex and chips and gravy!)
As you can see I mainly named UK bands, as well they did the punk/oi/skinhead thing before the Americans and came out on top.

tool?

Tool is nothing even remotely resembling true punk rock. In fact, it represents the death of punk rock.

rofl Disturbed is the death of punk rock.. they had a tour calld Rage the War Against Punk Rock

Bad Brains (all black punk group)
Dead Kennedys
Misfits
Circle Jerks
Sex Pistols
bad brains and misfits being my 2 favorites

I wouldnt call Bad Brains punk really.. they were around the same era of the when the Cro-mags and Agnostic front were getting really big. They were more hardcore with regea thrown in. I had the utter displeasure of sitting next to HR from bad brains at Harley from the cro-mags house a couple years back, he smelled like cow dung and weed.
Dead Kennedys, they turned punk and made it into some gay ass political statement, Jello Biafra is a scumbag.
Circle Jerks, once again more of an old school hardcore band than anything.
Sex Pistols, well of course, they're original punk rock.
Gotta love the misfits though.

I'm telling you, he smelled absolutely disgusting. I even offered him ten bucks to shower.

Honestly, I dont break out my old punk rock LP's often anymore, Mainly listen to old Oi, and Hardcore, with lots of newer REAL hardcore. Kids these days watch mtv and think they're hearing punk and hardcore, there is nothing REAL about it.

I used to be really into punk, till it turned in to a big political thing. I also got real sick of hearing anti-this and anti-that, its almost like a religion and I prefer to make my own opinions. I have to agree with BDTR, Jello Biafra was and is a douche bag that never had anything to talk about except the government.

Alot of good bands and members that dig this sh!t. I have alot of this music, most on cd but still have a few cassettes and 2 dozen vinyls. If I were to suggest the only post punk it would have to be fugazi's 13 songs(originally the red album), they spun off of minor threat and I would suggest their complete discography.

Bad Religion, early '90s era. Suffer and No Control were their biggest.
