So... Who's all unemployed?
I define unemployed as basically having no taxable income.
I'm a student still, but I should be working...
Wheres the rest of you out there?

I gotta a sweet severance deal if and when they lay me off so I'm thinking that will be the best time to try something out.

Strategically moved around departments to get a wide background and then moved into the tech area of the co. All while doing college half time at night so I could qualify for better internal jobs.
Don't want to get the thread off track. I feel for you guys out there that are struggling. I was working as a masonry laborer for $7 and hour (up at 4:30 am and home when it was dark) before I made a change that got me going in the right direction. Keep the faith

People do what they have to do to survive. That's honorable and that's how it is.
I know that, I'm one of them.

I do a lot of free work, I guess you could say I'm sticking my foot in the door... But i'm not putting anything in my pockets. I do a lot of work with political figures in DC and the state house... hopefully it pays off in the end.

I will be unemployed in June of this summer. Don’t know what I am going to do next but I have a few ideas and for me it is all about increasing the quality of life, not quantity. My goals are to spend more time with family, relaxing, getting in shape and at the same time making enough $ to pay the bills. So, I am thinking hard about what my next move is…. Time for a career change and I like the idea of being my own boss… I am getting to old to be taking crap from other people...
