Fit as a fiddle and he had a stroke
Theres this guy who workout down my gym. He must be in his late 50s. He used to cum in and do like 2 hours of cardio every other day without fail and some light lifting afterwards only stopping for bannanas and water every so often. But check this out...he had a stroke 6 wks ago and is paralised down one side.
My point is, how fit do you have to be before this sort of thing wont happen ?
Maybe he had other problems or maybe he was pushing himself to far. Just goes to show you that no mattewr how fit you think you are it can still happen to you.

you never know.....you can get (at say 40 or so) regular tests to help prevent it....but it is not completely unavoidable. Sucks.

I tend to think anything in excess is bad for you, that's why it's called excess. No matter how "fit" you may be, your body still needs to be in a state of homeostasis, which can be acheived without working out
