    If you are buying a bullet proof vest you need atleast 25 layers of kevlar, to have any protection, many people use less layers, I dont know why, but it wont be effective.

    The best bullet proof vests are made of ballistic Steel, Polythylene, or are ceramic, but they are expensive.
