i just took my truck and got a full service oil change. they checked my axle/rear diff oil and said it should be changed. my truck is a 2001. is it really time to get it changed? i know sometimes they bs about things like that.

If you run synthetic you don't have to change it as often, some people say never. Royal Purple is supposed to be one of the best

um not really, nothing you cant find a sears.. some plates have drain plugs which makes it simple as hell, some dont like my cherokee. i have to unscrew the plate, change the fluid and use some gasket crap and screw the plate back on. search onthe internet there is plenty of info on how to do it and what to use.Originally Posted by kloter1
