Tattoo Q
hey boys i got inked up on friday, it was my first tattoo it turned out wicked, but its been kind of itchy and i dont know if thats normal. It looks like the skin or tattoo is sort of chapped or scabbing Is that normal? Let me know if you have any idea, or I'll go 2 my tat guy 2morrow.

Let me know how long it takes before you're ok to train again. I'm thinking of getting one myself.

thats normal, you should start to scab up in a day or two, at least thats how it is for me.
massacre...you dont need to take any days off for a tat, i have sat for 5 hours in a night and have no problem lifting the next day.

Its normal. Dont pick or scratch the scab.
I train the day after getting tattooed usually.

Yes dont pick at it or scratch it. Make sure you point the ointment on it. I trained a day after I got my tatoo.

I'll put it this way, i got my entire chest covered (already had the outline) and was back training the next day after a 9 hour session.

i second that, the longest i have sat was 8 hours, BDTR doesnt your body go into shock when getting tatted for that long, mine did one time and the 5 hour mark and had to quit. and how many meals do you have to bring with during a 9 hour session? does he even let you eat?

nah, i can sit in the chair forever, doesnt bother me. I used to be heavy into body suspensions and stuff like that so pain has no effect on me whatsoever. We both took two 20 minute breaks for food.

It's a rush.

Very primal, but a very good way to have clarity. Pain is very pure.
Hard to explain.

A back hook can handle about 200 lbs, but then you have to take in account for swinging etc.. 3 hooks would be safe.
I dont do it anymore and to be honest, I dont like most of the people involved in this kind of thing. For many its a masochistic sexual thing, which grosses me out because masochists are weak sick individuals who don't deserve to breath my air.
I did it for other reasons. It's horribly painful, beyond belief actually. It put me in a different state of mind where i can see things more clearly and for the meathead in me... if i can hang myself by large stainless steel 6 guage steel hooks, what can anyone possibly do to me?

I sat for 8 hours straight on my left forearm. Then the very next morning sat for 4 more hours to finish it off. That sucked. After its all crusty and dried only to go back over it with the needle again!! I also got 9 hours of tribal on my shoulders that spread down my entire back.

Also, You are not supposed to let it see the sun, until it is fully healed. The sun will fade it.
Keep some sort of ointment on it, They make some Tattoo ointment. I forget what they call it. Tattoo ??
