Stereo Critique Please!!!
What do you guys think of this system i am building. I have two amps and the subs coming sometime next week.
It's going to go into a 93 Cadillac EL Dorado Touring Coupe 4.6L Northstar.
I plan on getting the box done this weekend. They will go into the trunk, along with amp racks that sit on the floor of the trunk titlted up and towards the rear of the car.
i plan on doing it all myself.
The deck is a Alpine 9811 w/remote control, yes it's a few years old, but it does everything that is needed. plus I like it.

i have used rockford amps and they are great, have yo looked into jl audio subs and jl interiors. also look at image dynamics subs, i had 2 fifteens and they shook evrything. but rockford makes a solid product, i bet it turns out great.

Sounds like a good system to me! I have 2 rockford 501BD amps powering 2 12" kicker S12L7's. The amount of bass they produce is ridiculous, the frikin roof shakes! I also have a capacitor 1farad, alpine cda9835 deck, infiniti kappa component in the front, 693.51 in the rear. You can turn the volume up far past your comfort zone with zero distortion. I love it!!!!

I thought about having Jl subs and the rest Alpine. Something stopped me, not sure what. I have heard good things about image dynamic subs. but haven't seen them on the net. Although i haven't really been looking.

****, i just looked at those W7's, shyt man, those thing are huge and cool looking.
They handle some good power, just over 1000 before you get into the danger. Anything over 4000w is a automatic void in warranty. WOW 4000w then they void it. Those would look sweet mounted backwards ( i forget the name it is) facing inside the box.
Nice thoughLast edited by clhp20; 04-15-2005 at 10:06 PM.

I had a 10w7 and it hit **** hard. Now I have two rf power 10's. They are the older version though. Your set up sounds like it will bump.
