    Got roughed up the other night bouncing!

    So yeah, to make a long story short, two guys get into fight. Bouncer grabs one guy. A friend of his (guy in fight) tries to fight the remaining guy. I grab him. 4 or 5 of his friends didnt like that I grabbed him. So 4 or 5 (not sure) jump on me and another bouncer. Pretty good bar brawl. On the floor, against the wall, on the tabbles, back on the floor. It was pretty much a wrestling match between 2 bouncers and about 5 other guys. Eventually the bar tenders got ontop of the bar and jumped onto the other guys backs. We regain controll and drag them all out the door. Why only 2 bouncers you ask? B/c the other 4 were at the back of the bar dragging 3 other guys out b/c they wanted to get involved in the fight at the front. So that rarely happens but it was just a fluke!! I didnt realize those fockers were punching me in the ribs untill after we had tossed them out. Thats when I got a little sore! But it was fun and Im ok! Just thought Id share my saturday night with you fellas!

    ****, if you were taking shots to the ribs it could have been a blade sticking you just as easily.

    hey bro glad you are ok. Im a bouncer in a strip club in uk. I've had some pretty similar experiences to the one you describe. The only time i got pissed off was when I was getting the **** beaten out of me and the other bouncers were sitting out back eating Pizza!! Needless to say I dont work with them anymore!!

    Im a bouncer too at one of the bigger night clubs here, on friday nights we have 7 or 8 guys working.....fights can be fun but dangerous too!

    I miss bouncing, kinda. Sucks to grow up. Can't see doing that work with a college degree, plus the wife wouldn't understand. We all had the ASP batons, get the good ones...the cheap ones bend too easily and won't collaspes

    we are not allowed to "strike" people. Its a corporate owned Bar so none of that. We can grapple them to the ground, choke them, just not "strike" them.

    If I bounced, I'd want to carry my own handguns (indiana) while on the job in fear of some psychos who may or may not have one of their own. And I highly doubt any bar/club would allow a bouncer to carry.
