    physics question?

    A merry-go-round rotates at the rate of 0.20 rev/s with an 80-kg man standing at a point 2.0m from the axis of rotation.

    What is the new angular speed when the man walks to a point 1.0m from the center?

    it's the same, since the man has only moved, the rotation hasn't changed, only the mans perception of it has.

    I forget the formula, but the speed will be twice as much since he's 2x closer to the axis.
