Lee Haney and Arnold, 15 Olympia's between the two of them. I think Arnold has done a lot to publicize the sport. Haney is the best in my eyes though.

i think they are all freaks but,
i would have to go w/ frank zane.great symmetry, good poser, ripped to pieces.i know teh history of bodybuilding but i definately don't consider it a sport.yeah i know what goes into it trainign, diet, discipline, blah blah blah all that.yeah i guess it's cool to look at these guys, but for me i look at them like a bunch of freaks.there's no $$ in it unless you have an endorsement.teh contests pay shit.they are just walkign billboards for teh magazines and companies to sell shit supplements to young kids who don't see teh business angle.anyway......

Got to respect Arnold because he'd beat everyone mentally if not physically. But hey what about Rachel Mclish guys...

Rachel Mc Lish...the first ever Ms. O. Great looking lady, great looking physique.

Yeah , ya gotta give the females some respect. Its really something how they can tranform their naturally petete bods into the muscular physique they do.

Hey you guys don't know the half of it...one of my trainers is a fitness competitor, just WON Junior nationals in St Louis a couple months ago and is going to Nationals Next month! Makes the men drool around here. Total package, with a personality. Makes me real glad I'm married.

i know he just died, but what about mike mentzer? he should have beaten arnold in 1980. mike had rock solid physique with good symmetry

What about Frank Zane in 1980. I read that no one even knew Arnold was competing that year. Zane said they all thought he showed up to promote like in 79. Wouldn't that just take the edge off? Finding out last min. you were competing against Arnold. Damn I feal for those guys.

Id say , it would be between Arnold and Dorain. Now with the bodybuilders of today it would have to be the swole ass Ronnie Coleman. I dont see anyone taking his title away soon.

No, I agree with you Ronnie is a freak. Just look at his muscle separation. His body fat is so low its almost sick. On top of all that he's huge. No one can compare with that.

Maybe it's me but I don't like where the sport his heading. I mean how big do they need to be. How much more HGH can they inject, and how far over sane steroid use will they travel. Nope my opinion is that what we are seeing is too extreme. Anyone else agree or am I alone in preferring an Arnold physique over a Ronnie.

I agree with you DB101...although I really like Dorian. That may have more to do with his charcter and work ethic...he's a true role model. I also really like the physiques of Bob Paris (marky mark), Lee Labrada and Berry De Mey.

Thats just the new era man... everything these days is getting bigger. Automobiles , Buildings , rims , boobs , and yes bodybuilders. Im sure back when arnold was the biggest everyone wanted to be bigger than him. Even though it may not be soon... someone bigger than freaky Ronnie will come around. I think ronnies awesome. Its amazing how much lean muscle he has on his body. Not to mention he's a Louisiana native . lol
PS. The guy who will be bigger than ronnie goes by the name <$uperman>

Hi Guys
I'd have to say Flex Wheeler. His symmetry is the best I've ever seen. The only downfall to his symmetry is when he is off, you can really tell (especially if you have seen him at his best).
I also like Vince Taylor.
On the female side I would have to say that I have a few favorites. Lisa Lowe, Monica Brant, and Timea Majoreva. These women aren't body builders, but I admire their fitness physiques.Last edited by fitgirl943; 10-06-2001 at 11:47 AM.

I would say arnold, he has done more for bodybuilding than anyone else in the sport. If it wasnt for him it would have never gotten the attention it has. I owe alot to the OAK if it wasnt for him i def. wouldnt be lifting, ever since i saw predator when i was little i wanted to be just like arnie. He is a Legend and the greatest IMO

Gunther for his freaky size and undying good attitude. He took 5th with grace this past "O" when he was the clear winner Like Jay was the year before. Then Gunther came back and beat Mr. O at the Show of Strength by GNC later that same year.......now that is heart is I ever saw it! Gunther is the man!

Hell yeah Gunther has a great attitude. I've never had the pleasure of meeting him, but talking with those that have all say he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Also he has given hope to someone like me about being tall and still being able to put some hellacious size on. 6'2" tall like me and he's able to pack on the weight o come in at 300 lbs! Oh hell yeah..... 270 here I come!
