Can't copy a CD I bought?

Have this Pimsluer language course and it has 18 cd's. I wanted to copy the CD's to my hard drive so I don't have to keep switching the Cd's and also put them onto my mp3 player.

However, for some reason I can select copy, but I can't get them onto any other HD or storage device.

Any suggesstions?

You should be able to rip them with nero, alcohol 120 or mount an image with daemon tools. Afterall you are allowed a copy of each for backup purposes.
