we were made for ripping meat. thats why we have k9s...
oh i agree, i wouldnt survive without meat, but i know that there are bodybuilders out there who are vegatarians. i cant imagine how hard that is!
Check out my pics, in the members pictures forum. I'm a vegetarian....
Back in the late 80's/early 90's there was a pro named Andreas Cahling who was a vegetarian.
I know of none, no.Originally Posted by robkesl

I don't see how they can do it. But I have tremendous respect for those who do.
Hooker does it, so he must know something.
Perhaps he is an "ovo-vegan" or something like that.
Dunno......

I mean...like I said...I'm not a BB'er...but...I'm 200-205, single digit bf%, and only 5'7"....I haven't had any kind of meat in...12 years...
Yeah, Swole...I'm whats called a "LActo-Ovo-Vegetarian" meaning I eat eggs and cheese, and drink milk...
Wow, that's hard for me to imagine bro!
I just bought 5 lbs. of top sirloin today @ Costco.
Kudos to you.

Bill Pearl was a vegetarian as well and looked amazing. Mr. Universe 1971

I bought a 5lb bag of Gummy Bears there last week....
Yeah...I run for 20-30 mins a day, lift 2on/1off, and have around...8-10 hours of rugby training every week....so mostly the workload keeps me lean, and the lifting keeps my muscle around...
Also...I don't just write about steroids....
I just found out Albert Beckles was a vegetarian as well.
It's disturbing that there's a magazine called the "Vegetarian Times" .....I'm a vegetarian and it wouldn't even occur to me to read something like that....Originally Posted by ginkobulloba

vegan bodybuilding or powerlifters..hahaha OMFG this is hilarious...
i would be on the pooper all day if i was a vegitarian. there are those days i just have to have a hamburger.
Yeah...bodybuilders probably need meat. Strength Athletes ( I play rugby) really don't. If you are interested, you can read the study titled:Originally Posted by Decadbal

Which concludes:
"There is No clear benefit for strength and sprint athletes from eating meat."
do you eat raw sprouted beans, lentils and seeds as the main protein source?Originally Posted by hooker
(apparently for vegetarians sprouting then eating raw is a much better way of eating the lentils, beans and yields more minerals, vitamins and protein then cooking methods)
read post 11
Im a veg , just double up on they whey and its cool.
Most vegs are fat cause all they eat are carbs and trash food like "FAKE" corn dogs and sh(t like that
goveg.com good stuff
I am a vegetarian...just mainly an Ovo Vegetarian. I eat yogurt but milk upsets my stomach. I have competed in BB contest before but at the time I was NOT a veg. I have no problem putting on mass, and not by eating the bullshit crap fake corndawgs etc...I think my genetics want me to be big. I am currently 6'2ish and 212. And the way I lift I HAVE to do cardio to keep myself lean. I am interested in doing a NPC next year with my diet. Will be interesting to try. I use quinoa as a main source of protein among other things...read up on it...it DOUBLES the protein of beef per serving.
Also the fact that we dont really absorb b12 from any other available source...
Don't think i could do it. After all nothing beats a nice piece of meat in your mouth sometimes.
or it could be this fukin thread is 5 years old..
