    Alright I've delayed long enough, I've got to ask....

    Where, when, and why in the hell did the word 'owned' become a dis/burn/whatever on message boards. how the hell did this start? owned? pwned? own3d? these kids can't spell for shit. guess I'm just not l33t

    "pwned" came from extremely excitable teenagers typing on the internet. when they get really excited (usually over something incredibly stupid), they tend to make typos. This particular typo happened so much, that it became a thing.

    usually you see it in the form of "pwned!!!!!!111!!!!1!!" (notice all the typo'ed '!'s).

    All I have to say is CALM THE F-CK DOWN and type correctly you counterstrike nerds!!!
