Pumping Iron
I just finished watching "Pumping Iron." Arnold is the man! It's hilarious to watch him mess with Lou.

Pumping Iron took bodybuilding to the mainstream no doubt about it..without it i dont think we would have ahd chain gym slike we have today and every1 in America into working out..then again that might be a bad thign with all these social bastards at the gym there to bs and not train

well i say this cause it shows arnolds humour and how he intimitated other competitors which was great.
but i dont agree with the name of the movie it was great and braught out bodybuilding..
but the name pumping iron
u would think u will be watching someone lifting some weights like ronnie colemans videos...
thats all.....

the name "pumping iron" may be misleading, but the full intention of the film is to show people the real life of a bodybuilder and how it takes more than just lifting weights to be a bodybuilder. I thought the film was great, I've watched maybe 50x.

also this movie was made when people didnt just wanna watch or care about some people lifting wieght, they had to make a story/plot to the movie otherwise people wouldnt pay money back then to see it.

Pumping Iron is a movie, not a training video. There haven't been any other bodybuilding movies that I am aware of. Does anyone know of any others?

pumping iron has inspired more people to start lifting than anything ever has, actually arnold has. love him or hate him, the man is the greatest bodybuilder the sport will ever see, not to mention the greatest personality. props to the gov.

all this "arnold's so great i wanna suck his balls" means that every other badass that was training at the time meant nothing. arnold didn't inspire any more people to lift than the rest of the hardcore bros training at the time. arnold simply inspired a bunch of goombahs who watched his movies to "get muscles", not to "bodybuild."
arnold was not the greatest... he was the loudest. "well what about all his sandowes" you ask...
i reply... judges are ****ed up. two words. chris cook
