Compressing an MP3
How can I compress this mp3 I have so I can post it here on the board?
It's a song called "Steriods to heaven" a remake of "stairway to heaven".
It's a typical portrayal of the media's view of steriods but I thought I'd share it with you after hearing it on the radio yesterday.
Maybe I can send it to one of you guru's and u can do it for me lol
It's 2.43 mb's so it has to be cut down to 2 or under to post on the board.
Any help?

Ya you could try to re-sample it at a smaller bitrate. Maybe someone can do it for u if you dont know how. I personally cant because I only have the internet at work. But that would be the best way.

Mp3 is a compressed format, zipping it will have no effect. The only thing you can do is reduce the quality of it. 96kbps would probably be your next drop, seeing as the track is alread 2.3mb, im guessing its in 128kbps 44kHz.

If you use itunes, just use the configuration for recording in the
preferences you can choose it to 96k bit rate and then just select
that file and just convert it again into MP3 it's easy! I don't have a
windows so I dunno how do the guys do this job but Itunes is
switable for both PC and Mac so it's the best to do this job IMO.
Good luck trying Mbaraso! I hope to see those files here soon!
