Pets
Before anybody asks...yes I had some extra time on my hands and I wanted to start another thread.
I love animals so who has pets?
We have 4 cats a big 20lb Tom, 2 young (6 months) male tabbys and a little black & white female.
I love dogs too...had a pure bread boxer growing up. I like bull terriers, bull dogs, stratfordshire terriers, boxers and malamutes.
If I had unlimited resources I would want a big cat...either a tiger or a cougar.

I want a pet monkey. Maybe I'll get a hedgehog or a ferret for Christmas. I had a kitten until a few months ago when she died at the vet (they were just supposed to spay her!). I've had lotsa cats, two dogs, scorpions, a few lizards, hermit crabs, Thailand crab, newts, fish, frogs, can't think of anything else....oh wait I had a squirrel for a little while but had to give it up.

none right now but i want a dog. pete i was thinking about a boxer- how are they - personality wise, i can't stand wirey dogs that jump on everyone, I want a dog that is chill, and obediant. My dad had a Doberman that was the greatest dog. I dig Siberian Husky's too. Anyone got info on good dogs?

DB101 you're Dr. Dolittle.
Solid... Boxers are wonderful animals and make fantastic pets. Very easy to train, very loyal, great temperment and excellent with children (very nurturing). I highly recommend Boxers.

Good thread Pete!
Currently: 1 dog (4yr old Staffordshire Bull Terrier - the greatest breed), bunch of snakes (various species of Boa).
In the past I have kept and bred many species of reptile as well. Have been an amature herpetologist for years with main interests being boas, monitors, tegus, and vipers.
Also, professionally am a Registered Vet. Tech., so obviously pets and animals in general are another big passion of mine.

PS - To whoever was asking about good dog breeds, feel free to drop me a PM or email, and we can discuss what you are looking for in a dog and I will try to point you in the right direction and a good breeder in your area.

Here's Cool Breeze, Tiger Da Man. It's not easy being cheesey. Single yellow male, enjoys chasing mice, climbing trees and talking trash. Eats and sleeps, but doesn't train much. Desprately looking for companion to share midnight tomcat outings and possible mating. Inquiries call 1-800-cat-meow. Ask for Tiger Da Man.

So far I've had 2 cats, 1 long haired black cat, which was crazy, and one short haired black and white cat, which attacked any and everyone that came over to my apartment, especially men. I have 2 Jack Dempsy fish, 2 black & white Convicts(aggressive fish, as so the Jack Dempsy), and a Iguana, which actually is my daughter's, but I take care of it, so I consider it to be mine. I hope to get me a dog upon moving out of my apartment. A yellow lab (my choice) or a dalmation(kids choice).
