Going down to Austin for a few days and bringing the little lady. Been a while since I have stayed down there.
Is there a great place to stay that might be on the lake but also close to the downtown area?
Suggestions????

I lived in Austin about five years ago for a little bit but it's probably changed so much so sorry couldn't help ya but good luck and have a safe trip.
the Lake and downtown are pretty far from each other bruh, so you gotta pick wich one you want, if it were me i would pick the lake, it will cost u more but it is awsome out there, if you wanna stay downtown pick the Ramada on 11th st, you can walk anywere you want and I-35 it right by it.
come visit me bitch
Not talking about Lake Travis although I love that lake. Stayed at Lakeway Inn last summer. Thinking more along the lines of Town Lake which I think is just a glorified name for the Colorado River.
Chest6, I will look you up when down there.
hey chest6 you live in Atown??? what gym u training at?? cus im in Atown also
HIT UP 6 street!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about a good lounge bar in that area? I think we decided to say at the Driskill Hotel. Need a place to party. Just do not want a place with 18 year olds and hardcore dance music. Need a good lounge bar.

or the warehouse district... 5th and whatever i think one of the nice bars is called glass
Nothing wrong with 18 year olds except I think we should hang out at different places. I am 35.
definitely glass. glass is good early on saturday nights, then everyone moves over to foundation. both are on 5th. red fez is decent sometimes, little too dark for me (and yes, i mean the lights).Originally Posted by ttuprincess
stay away from 6th cause that's mostly the younger crowd. although i do recommend you check out maggie mae's and blind pig - they have a sweet upstairs balcony (hadn't been on 6th in a while and decided to check it out and saw some nice renovation).
