Definitely. Early 90's U.S. death, first few gen's of BM before the scene became a joke, and quite a bit more.

I'm surprised to see half the stuff on a "metal" thread is actually metal, and not alternative/hard rock/nu "metal" garbage, lol.

    1) Soulfly is not metal, sorry. Not even touching Mudvane or RAtM...
    2) Props to the guy who actually mentioned Cynic!
    3) Glen Benton is a pathetic example of what's wrong with U.S. death metal.
    4) Anyone who doesn't listen to Manowar simply isn't metal. EOS.

To those who mentioned black metal, do you still support the scene and bands that have been there through all the changes?

no the props are all yours for calling yourself samoth! have you burned down any churches? j/k

as for black metal (well really any extreme metal subgenre) **** i just listen to the classics. there's no way i'm gonna buy something new at all. i just try to collect and replace what i like.

plus it's not like all i listen to is extreme metal i like celine dion and shit too i swear to God and then i listen to alot of britpop shit and esp. fusion and quite a bit of romantic era calssical shit so it's not like the death of black metal is gonna make me sob for life or anything.
