This is it...time to get serious...my plan
I decided today to change my unhealthy lifestyle. I am sick of being fat and lazy and hating my mirror image. I will diet for as long as it takes to reach my goals. Let me know what you think of my plan.
Current: 5'4, 217 lbs, 39" waist, 18.75" bi's, 49" chest
Goals: 5'4, 185 lbs, 30" waist, 18.5" bi's, 48" chest (most of my weight is in my abs; arms and chest are pretty firm)
Diet- 6 meals a day, 180 grams protein/day, 1500 or so calories
Cardio- 30 min/4 days a week

ok, maybe 1800 is closer to what I meant...but my protein stays relatively low because if I eat too much of it, I simply get fat because of my metabolism

Are you guys serious about the protein though? I know most Pro BB's have 300-400 grams of protein a day, but to get down to 180-185 lbs I don't need that much to maintain muscle

I know, I know...1.5-2 grams per lb. That's what works for some, but not all. Danny Padilla was famous for cutting his protein to less than 100 grams during competiton and still maintaining his musculature...it was in an issue of Flex last summer

Both are fallacies anyhow as long as water intake is adequate.
If you get fat from protein, you are doing something wrong elsewhere, as it's not the protein. You're not even meeting your BODYWEIGHT in protein!!!!!

to get 2000 cals a day I would have to eat equivalent to 3 Met-RX bars, 3 protein shakes, and maybe 3 cans of tuna...9 meals? I think not

Protein is protein.
If you are eating other items that have protein and carbs, then that is not just a protein source.
BTW, bars are shit.

ok...so you don't believe that I know how to diet? then explain my success last year of losing 30 pounds and not losing more than a half inch from my arms and chest @ 190 with a 34" waist on a diet of only 150 grams of protein a day

I used to be very fat, and my body takes whatever it can and stores it as fat if I don't simply eat less than most others
