Here's a video from the 1930's showing Russian doctors using artificial blood circulation keeping a dog's head, lungs, and heart alive. They then revive a dog from death in a medical experiment.
Science has advanced in so many ways since this time but these experiments are still cool to watch.

thats f'in crazy...one thing im confused about though...how does the heart and lungs function by themselves w/ no brain to control them?
