yea, diesel engines are very stout engines and will run for days but the trannys arent so stout, especially those ford trannys.142 on a tranny that has been lifted and who knows what kind of off roading has been done to it.
go for it,and buy it,but if the previous owner didnt change the oil,air filter, service the tranny and so forth.i garuntee the tranny will go out sometime soon.ive owned a number of cars and have seen it all.im just letting you know from experience

I drive a 1997 ford f350 4x4 diesel, has about 120,000 miles on it, still runs good....only prob is the price of fuel....i fill up about once a week at around 90 bucks a pop.....that's almost 400 dollars a month on fuel....i'm thinking about trading it in on a moped.
