Anyone here a regular EBAY user?

I've sold a few things on Ebay pretty successfully in the past and now I'm pretty hurtin for money so I'm getting rid of as many things as possible.

Right now I've got about 10 items up for sale, good stuff imo, and no one's biting! Anyone have tips for successfull ebay selling?

start the auction on sunday around 10am and run it for 7 days. theres a 30-40% greater chance the item will sell on a sunday. Theres double traffic then for some reason.

    Good pictures.
Attention to detail in the description.
Reasonable shipping costs. (mark it up $1.00-$2.00 above the actual)

Search the completed listings and see if its an item that actually sells if so look at the list of bidders and email them. its against the rules but typically they will bite if the price is right.

Ship aboard.. international buyers often can't find items at home.

Start the auctions at $.01 without a reserve it encourages bidding. before 24hrs is left and you don't have alot of people watching it and your're not happy with the current bid you can cancel the auction and tell them how your dog destroyed it but thats a grey area.

I got a few more if they dont work.
PM me. I'm a trading assistant

    Hey Kitty,

I've used ebay for a few years now. Bought and sold a few things. My ID on there is GhenJarel if you're interested. Nelstar has some good tips up there ^. Don't forget that pictures and a little color in your auction goes a long way. (A good picture too... no fuzziness) If there is an item like yours already listed, snatch a little of their description if it sounds better. A good description means the differance between a 1.00 ending price and a 100 dollar ending price.

What do you usually sell? Maybe we can help you come up with descriptions and some advice.

(not a good description lol) It all depends how sexy she is... Post some pics, then we'll talk money, duct tape, and a box with holes in it!

if there is several different spellings, or if what your selling is a commonly misspelled word, type it a few different ways in the auction. add different words into the title so when someone types in words for a search, your item (although maybe completely unrelated) will also show up. For example:

Nike Air Jordan III not IV, XI, IX, V, I, II

typing in "IV, XI, IX, V, I, II" will make the shoe show up for buyers who also are looking for those also typed into the title.

one thing ive learned is to always offer free shipping. just include the shipping price in the total amount. ive sold many items within 1-2 days doing that.
