I loved how the beginning started, with the base and the mirrors just shaking

Music was good and went good with the scenes.

It sounds like a really good storyline. Drug dealer growing up in "da hood," no parents, life of drugs and violence, goes to prison, gets shot at 8 times (aka street credibilty!), turns gangsta rapper.

Just what the inner city kids need...another shortcut illusion to get rich and live the "good life."

You can argue all you want that this movie is only for entertainment purposes, but you know damn well how many young punks will see this movie and want to follow in 50's footsteps. I might sound like an old head here, but this shit is really getting out of control.

How many leaders can you actually name in the black community? (Just one point).

I agree w/you about people "looking up to" Marcus (the character 50 plays) after they see this movie. Everyone has a "hero" or someone he/she looks up to, and if one may not have father or mother or both, then it's easier to be influenced by others that are looked up to.

The political question I'm not gonna touch, I don't want this turning political.
