How to tell what operating system I have?
I need to download things off of the internet ( like the disk to go with a scanner I was given with no disk included)
The sites ask what system I use and I'm not sure (I know it's windows (2000?) but which version (pro, xp etc.)
Please help I need this scanner for the store and don't want (broke $ right now anyway) to buy a new one.

windows 2000 is a completely different operating system then pro and xp...
pro is an older OS and XP is a newer more updated OS then 2000...
just check the box that your comp came in and it might tell you or check the start up screen when u start it up.
i hope that helps
