Decent as in big name players like Damon? Wait he is an ex-royal.

    Royals traded him, go figure.

They should have went after some more pitching. Damons numbers have been decreasing each of the last four seasons. He is still one of the best lead off men in the game but their pitching staff isnt getting any younger. I think they should have made more of a play for soriano who is younger, hits for a high average, and hits for power + he is accustomed to playing under the NY scrutiny.

Yea bernie was/is getting old. He still did a decent job out there but he is nothing like the BErnie of old. He was one of my favorite Yankees!

Bernie was awesome and its so sad to see him go the way he did. The Yankees are all he knows since that's the only team he ever played for. Damon is a great pick up but like FrankieC said I wish they would've gone after more pitching.

    Amen!

They have an aging pitching staff. Arod, jeter, giambi, are all relatively youngs so they are set there.

there wasn't that much pitching out there and considering how much Burnett went for it might of been a good idea to not have gone after pitching but i've been wrong again and i hope New York didn't just buy another world series.

they offered him arbitration so they'll get some draft picks the Giants signed him to 3 years around 8-9 million a year.

I think Damon will like it in NY and will also be a great asset to the team.
