Yankees are like a monopoly. No one else can compete.
The Red Sox try just wait and the Rocket will sign with New York also now that would really suck.
Decent as in big name players like Damon? Wait he is an ex-royal.Originally Posted by Hackamaniac

They should have went after some more pitching. Damons numbers have been decreasing each of the last four seasons. He is still one of the best lead off men in the game but their pitching staff isnt getting any younger. I think they should have made more of a play for soriano who is younger, hits for a high average, and hits for power + he is accustomed to playing under the NY scrutiny.
I agree but a major upgrade for them at centerfield and leading off My Cardinals just signed Sidney Ponson POriginally Posted by FranKieC

Yea bernie was/is getting old. He still did a decent job out there but he is nothing like the BErnie of old. He was one of my favorite Yankees!Originally Posted by Hackamaniac
Bernie was awesome and its so sad to see him go the way he did. The Yankees are all he knows since that's the only team he ever played for. Damon is a great pick up but like FrankieC said I wish they would've gone after more pitching.

not to mention matsui and sheffield and now robinson cano is showing great skill
How old are sheffield and Matsui?Originally Posted by USfighterFC

I think Damon will like it in NY and will also be a great asset to the team.
