Nah, usually the answering machine comes on and they hang up.

When I wanna play, I'll grab the phone and talk in some crazy ass Chinese voice and ask them to hold......put the phone down and go do other shit for like 15 minutes and totally forget about them. Another thing I do is answer the phone and have really derogatory rap music blaring very loud, and I just leave the phone right next to the speaker.
