Silly things that triger emotions.. My brothers daughter died when she was 4... Watching the first part of the movie, when he had the son held in his arms...just reminded me what my brother must have went through... life sucks sometimes

I cant even imagine doing that and God forbid it doesnt happen to anyone. It's terrible your bro had to go through that and I wouldnt even want to think about it with a kid of my own. i hope one day ,although he wont forget it, but maybe he can try to move forward.

Life sucks for a lot of people and shit does happen unexpectedly. One thing I learned growing up was we didnt have a great deal of money, but I knew I didn't have to play the cards I was dealt with. I could leave everything I didnt like behind and strive hard to make my life better. Although it's nowhere near the level I'd like it to be, it is a far cry from where I've been.

I have a 6 year old boy that I love more than any other single thing in the world, and having said that, I cannot even begin to imagine what that would be like, and I'm not too hip on continually trying to imagine either.

That's horrible for sure.

Its threads like this that put everything in perspective to me. When I may complain and rant about missing a workout or having to nurse an injury, I like to take a step back and recognize how lucky and blessed I am with the health of myself and family.

Thank you, it was a couple years ago, but it still hurts, and hurts to see the effect it had on him! Death is a horrible thing, but on a 4 year old child its that much worse

the other day, vince neil had his cribs on mtv, and it showed a pic of his little girl who passed when she was 4, and i swear to god it took me 15 min to keep from crying.. i dont even know how to imagine how ppl like that continue life.. god bless them all

I hate when things tug on the ol' heart strings like that. Time heals all wounds. But a persons got to want he****g to let it begin.
Robin Williams did a movie a while back about losing his family. He literally went through hell in the movie. I remember that Cuba Gooding Jr. was also in it. Can't remember the title of it for the life of me. If you know of which I speak, try to get your brother to watch that with you. Then let him know you are there for support.
Eric Clapton got over it with "Tears In Heaven". Though I don't really know how he's doing today. Has he put out an albumn since then? I don't know. But he got bars put on all balconies in NYC now.
