I have a kenwood excelon in dash dvd, tv tuner, cd, radio, satellite. On mine, the screen comes out and goes back in. They have one that the screen fills the whole stereo hole that is pretty cool. But, I don't think it has a tv tuner on it yet.
I found this link on it real quick just to give you an idea:

oh yeah...there is also a gps module for this unit. It is badass! voice comes over the speakers and tells you your turn is coming up etc. You can choose female/male voice options....I really like the british female...she sounds hot.

that's what i want. one that slides out and flips up. i don't want the whole screen visible to passer-bys
i wonder, can someone "hack" into the On-Star system and rig it up as GPS also ?Originally Posted by tryingtogetbig

my buddy owns a car audio store here in town and I don't remember him ever saying anything about that. the gyro antenna for the gps module isn't all that expensive. I believe the whole package w/antenna etc was around $600 dealer cost. The way it works on the screen is amazing.Originally Posted by KeyMastur
I have had my kenwood for almost 2 years now. Dealer cost on it then was around $1600, so $1500 retail today doesn't sound too bad at all.
Regarding specs, just make sure you get the model that has the tv tuner on it also (I believe it is the 915). I cannot tell you how much I have used that for sports games, weather, news etc while on the road.

I havel the Alpine flip screen one. I can't remember the model number but its pretty nice. It is touch screen too. It cost about 1,200 but i think it's worth it. It doesn't really matter what kind you get because you can put a TV tuner, GPS, iPod, and whatever else you want in. just hooked up my playstation to it myself too
key it has several extra audio/video in & outs. You can even hook up a mini camera in the back of your rig next to the license plate that turns on automatically when you put it in reverse so that you can see behind you.Originally Posted by KeyMastur
