Mods or Vets, insight please
I read today, it was an advertisment for a suplement, but thats not the point... i read today that testosterone levels are at the highest in the morning.. is this true

body only heals when its sleeping...a principle in bodybuilding/powerlifting so that would make sense!

yes your test levels are higher in the morning, and no its better to lift in the afternoon i beleive it has something to do with cortisol levels on that one.

Yeah most people attribute morning wood to morning test levels, and its most likely partly responsible, but you'll still get morning wood with full suppression, and exogenous test. The other thing is you can get wood from a 20 minute nap in the afternoon where there isn't a testosterone surge involved. The default state of your body is to be sexually aroused, and it takes active input from your central nervous system to ihibit that. When you sleep your brain shuts off a kind of gate in your brain stem mainly to prevent motor nerve impulses that would cause you to move around and hurt yourself in your sleep. The reason you can move your eyes while you are dreaming is that those nerves are cranial nerves and exit through holes in the scull instead of being routed through the brain stem like most other nerves. A byproduct of this inhibition is a reduction in the CNS stimulation that prevents sexual arousal.

I've also read your test levels are highest 90 minutes after ejeculation!.
I'm not saying to bang your chic 90 minutes before a workout, I'd fvcked for hours after a good one. But the articule I read stated that your test levels were generally highest in the mornings and 90 minutes after you shoot your load!.

testerone levels are highest in the morning but cortisol levels are lowest in the evening.
i prefer to workout in the afternoon, i feel sick if i workout in the morning
