Memorial Day
I just want to take some space here to Thank all my brothers and sisters who are serving in the Armed Forces, and the remeber the ones that have fallen for the sake of this great nation. From Iwo Jima to Vietnam to Desert Storm to what we are facing right at this moment, you guys stand in the face of fear and turmoil, to keep this country safe and to protect our way of life, and I personally thank you.
To the friends that I lost while serving, you will not be forgotten ever.
To the POW's that are still out there, you will not be forgotten either.
To the Fallen Hero's you will always be remebered
I'll see you guys down range one day! Hoooah

It's easy to forget what the holiday is about but you hit the nail on the head, Memorial day is about the men and women that fought and continue to fight for our freedom. They are ALL heros!
Thank you to all our military members here and the ones out there still fighting!

Gotta agree. Many people just see it as along weekend and do not pay homage to those that died for us.

to many people use it as an excuse for a day off work and getting drunk and camping or whatever, they do not realize if it wasnt for the men and women that died for us we would not have the time of or the freedom we have now...

Ditto, Bros. A lot of incredibly brave men and women fighting over in Iraq. They deserve our prayers and heartfelt thanks.

What do y'all think about the government moving Memorial Day from its traditional date of May 30 to the Monday before May 30? Seems to me it's selling out the veterans, who deserve a REAL holiday memorializing their sacrifices, and giving their day to the big corporations so they can have another "SALE" to boost their bottom lines.
Me, I'm closing my shop next May 30, will visit the local Vet cemetary.
I won't do any praying, but I will take the time to cuss George W. Bush who got so many people killed for his needless war . . .
