    Arrow do u TIP ur girlfriend??....

    hey boys, my lady is a waitress at a half decent restaurant. I went there tonight with a buddy to have a few beers and we each ate 2 pizzas....

    heres my dilemma....
    Normally, Im a good tipper.....unless ur a bitch or u piss me off...u get treated well.

    my bill was $17.30 and I went to give her $25.00...service was excellent...pizza was great....we had great seats to watch the game on the big screen. So I figured that was a good tip. I went to hand it to her and shes like....Ur not tipping me, then i was like...Yeah i am.....so here, take it....she ended up taking just $20.00, so tip was like 2 and change....

    so...any of u boys have a girl who serves and refuses a genuinly deserved tip?....was this a good move? bad move?....like i didnt want her to think i was a cheap ass.....Ladies...u got any input??

    I would have offered her the 25 and if she said "you're not tipping me" I would say ok and take it back.

    first off i never go eat at a resturaunt that my girl is working at, just feels wird haveing her wait on me, i just tell her what i want and she brings it home for me, and i'll pay her back, pluse if you know anything about restraunt staff you know there is a ton of drama in them and i dont wanna stir anything up

    u bring up a good point. I havent been to her restaurant since june of 2005....so i figured this wouldnt hurt....

    and yes...there is TONNES of drama in the restaurant setting...i work as a doorman at a restaurant turned bar at night....and there is a shit load there too.....

    I wouldnt tip. Now before you say Im an asshole think about this. First of all it feels weird giving your gf money jsut outta ur pocket, it would feel weird for her to take in Im assuming. And now think about this, when I work somewhere and my GF comes in I hook her up with a sick discount, I would never expect her to pay EXTRA, which you are doing by tipping her extra. She wants to hook you up and say keep the tip as her way of giving you a "discount." Does anyone else see what Im tryin to say.

    Plus if they work on a tip-out system or you keep your individual tips it makes a difference also. If you generous tip for ur gf is going into the tip pool its not worth it.

    naw, she doesnt work in a tip-out(kick back) situation...what she makes, she keeps....

    plus i also see ur other point, where ur comin from. Valid reason...but its just not in my nature to not tip someone. whether it be a delivery guy, cabby, getting a haircut.....just depends on my mood that day and how nice the person was...

    Oh ya man I def. see where you are coming from. But I think if we were secure in our relationship there would be no need to tip. But this being said my younger brother is a server and I tip him really well when I go in, just because he is young and I wanna make sure he has money. But either way man if you tried to tip and she didnt want it then I wouldnt put up a fight to give it to her. You prolly scored points tryin to tip so power to you man.

    20% was $3.46 30% was $5.19. I say you were good. Don't know what she was complaining about. She's on the clock. It's not like she's a whore, she's a server, and tips are how she gets paid. Next time, go some where else. Infact, don't ever eat where she's working. Psycho!

    yea, whats with that. the girl i'm dating now doesnt let me pay for anything! dont get me wrong, i love it, but i'm used to coughin up the dough for dates and such. i mean, if she initiates the date, or lunch, or whatever, SHE PAYS!!! you know what, that how it should be anyways, right?

    When I bartend and my girl comes to visit I never let her tip me nor do I charge her. But shes one of those independant type girls and will throw a $20 on the bar and run away...........

    yea, i was feelin like a chump for a while but i got over it. the more i look at it the more it makes sense, we both make good money, there is no reason why i should be paying for everything. especially if we ever split i dont have to feel like i tossed a bunch of $$$ away.
