you know, the ones that you get in the bottom of your gums. It hurts to eat!

I use to get them all the time when i was little, of course my mom said it was from chewing gum.
Gargle with warm salt water as frequently as possible. It relieves the pain and gets rid of it.

If you mean what us brits would call a mouth ulcer then lick your finger tip, dip it in salt and rub the salt right into the little blighter for a minute or two - that'll kill it.
