    Mcse 2003

I have decided to get an MCSE 2003 cert and drop my CCNA study for now...

Just how in the hell is one to figure out all the different angles/books...why is there not a package of books and study materials?

Anyone have any info, just searching www.microsoft.com wore me out trying to figure out what is what.

You got a shit load of core exams and a shit load of elective exams..do i just go through there and click what?

Instead it's like pick and choose. wtf?

    you can go to www.microsoft.com/mcse

let me know if you need help or have any questions... i have had my mcse since 4.0 and upgraded it twice.

The cores are simple...but honestly you need a good lab. There are TONS of mcse's out there just like ccna's (i'm a ccna sadly enough and don't know shit about routers )
The only thing that is going to seperate you from the next guy is hands on experience and the confidence that you get from it ...

if you are going to buy books...don't go with those black and white books (can't member the name...sybex mebe?) go with microsoft press.

as far as electives... make sure exchange is one of em...
    sql is another good one

knowing them , not just passing a test, will make you successful.

Just what ever you do...don't go brain dump method. They will help with the cert but then you'll be paper...

I would start w/ of course basic understandin on computer "INNER parts" and how they work, then build you a computer...then next step is to have another computer and network them...then you build your lab from there...
