    Predators

Anybody do any predator hunting? (the four legged kind)

Started a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday called in three coyotes in about 5 minutes...lucky for them I wasn't ready yet. I was testing a new caller and it worked well...

From the posts I've read it seems as if Deca is an anus predator...

    Damn I crack myself up

In my state hunting from quads is illegal...the boar hunting sounds like a kick in the ass...

What type of dogs are used for boar? I would think big and mean would have have to a qualification.

Falconry...thats cool. Does the falcon bring the prey back to you? Do let the falcon eat its prey....I know nothing about it....but I think feathered predators are awesome creatures.

Fvckin coyotes. Kill 'em ALL. Nothing like blowing one away at 10 yards with a load of BBB from my 10 ga. Freaking hamburger! Shot a Grey Wolf in Canada, (one shot, .22-250) got him on my wall, shoulder mount.

Wild Pigs aren't predators. Real men hunt pigs with a kinfe. Well that's what we used to do in Florida anyway, out of the back of a pickup, those are small and tasty. The 600lb Russian Boar on my wall from Kentucky took 4 from a Casul before it died, at my feet.

Sorry, the DOGO is NOT an appropriate animal to have anywhere near small children. The prey drive is too strong in this breed. You are just asking for trouble.

I've hunted some frenchmen as of late. They arent really predators and dont put up much of a fight, I guess its more like varmit hunting.

I shoot AT LEAST 5 flats of 10 ga ammo per year. Go to the local sporting goods mega mart, tell 'em what I want, ammo is there in 2 or 3 days. I also reload some 'special' loads. Lead in BBB or T and #4 buck is tough to come by from the store but it is the perfect close up load for coyotes, wolves and big cats, out to 50 or 60 yards anyway. Shit hits like a ton of bricks and rips them apart. Fvcking predators, I hate 'em.

I'm using an AR-15 in .223 with a 3-9x40 scope. The 3 that I saw responding to my caller never got closer that 100 yds and my scope was set at 9x by mistake and by the time I found the basta8ds in the scope they were cresting a rise...no time...shit....I would be going next week but I have jury duty on the day I usually go...friggin' jury duty....i vote guilty...he screwed up my hunting day!!!

i always thought it would be fun to get right up in a bears face with a semi auto 12 ga loaded with mag slugs, and dump the whole magazine into it.

i can imagine bro, even a 12 gauge with 7 1/2 buck would rip a human apart at close range.

I don't know Tren about the shotgun and bear. Maybe a small black bear...but I'd still feel better with a 30.06, even a 7mm at range. Bears have a slow metabolism and as such...die slow as well...leaving them with enough time to take a swipe at your ass with those 43 pound paws. Their hide is thick and they have a nice layer of fat to slow down a slug.

Maybe if you were jacked up on tren you could take it out with a k-bar

Now...if you want a rush...take a big predator down with a bow at 15 yards...that'll make your nuts suck up in the sack

yea but it sure would be a rush. i can imagine that a slug would at least slow the bear down so you could cap him again

when i was younger(and occasionally now when i go home), we would load up in the back of one of our trucks at night, locked and loaded to the T, drive around with a ginormous spotlight, and blast every innocent critter that was seen on our 600 or so acres....good times!
