    sexual harrassment

i just dont understand women, i work at a popular gym which i will not mention(gold's) but recently one of our trainers was fired for sexual harrassment and i mean no questions asked blatant sexual harrassment. my gripe is that in the last few weeks women that cant get the shift they want or are just not feeling good on any given day are reporting everything from good morning beautiful, and hello ur training sessions look like they are paying off as harrassment. do women not understand the magnitude of these accusations? if i go to hr and say this women asked for free training sessions in exchange for sex they will say will dont do it and have a nice day but this female who didnt get the shift she wanted said the front desk guy told me good morning beautiful and sparked a whole internal investigation. women want equal rights but are we really equal? double standard?

It's disgusting double standards bro. But us men are to blame. We let them out from behing the kitchen sink and now they are using all their dirty tricks to get ahead in the corporate world! If we are not careful we'll be the ones cooking and cleaning in 10-20 years time!!!!!

"good morning beautiful" is not appropriate in a work environment. Would you say it to a male coworker? Think of it that way.

I learned...the hard way...a long time ago to keep my discussions with women in the workplace to business only. Never, ever, ever comment about their attire, looks, hair, makeup...anything!! Make your conversation with them as sterile as an operating room...never be behind close doors with them, don't smile or wink, or look at them anyplace other than the eyes...if you have to smile...smile like a fag alterboy. It is bs and has made the work environment alot less fun, but it wasn't the men that started abusing the protection. I have stated in other threads how much I love and appreciate most women...but women who use the sexual harrassment shit as a tool to aid them are dirty b*tches that I would not let lick the sweat off my boys if they were dying of thirst.

Its best to be mute and blind around some women at work.

Yap, welcome to year 2006. I see it ALL the time. I like the ones who walk around with a thong pulled up out of their ass and their nipples showing....... If you smile at them, in a workplace, BANG, your fired!!!!!

The women calling you cutie and handsome is not appropriate either. If a man were to call you cutie and handsome and say you have nice legs. Would you consider it harassment?

Depends how well I know them and the context of it.. Either way, i'd tell them instead of my employer if it bothered me.

i hate to say it but im secure in my masculinity and me and my bros have an inside joke that says if we can get a man to say we look good then, damn, we must look good! beautiful and cutie have no sexual innuendos to me now if he said can i touch ur ass thats a whole other story. how many of us have actually used beautiful or cutie while having sex? remember this is a gym where spandex is common not an office building with suits and ties.

Agreed. But what happens if it continues after you've said something.

now thats another can of worms from what i have learned in inservice classes that once a person tells u that ur comments are not appreciated or are inappropriate u open urself up for a harrassment or sexual harrassment investigation. i read the statement that this girl wrote and she never mentioned anything about telling the person to stop. another thing that we have found out is that this girl was being trained by the person that was fired for s.h. he was well liked by his clients he just said to much to the wrong person and we r beginning to think that he is retaliating in some way.

"hello beautiful" isn't appropiate. - i always go out of my way to treat women like guys at the workplace. It's very common for me and most others to flirt a little bit, not for any specific intent, thats just how people communicate.

I think the secret is how you potray your bodylanguage, you could say "jen your lookin HAWT today " in a jovial, friendly, cheerful manner. Or you could say " jen your lookin HOT today :| " in a i'm going to rape you in the parking lot as your walking to your car manner. They'll stimulate 2 different reactions
