Where do you guys buy clothes?
I'm so sick of buying t shirts that fit like poncho's. I need XL for my upper body, but every XL shirt i own is for fat guys and hangs off me like a f'n dress. I can never find shirts that fit. I'm coming to the conclusion that i need to go out and buy some new clothes unfortunatly, but it's always a hassel because i can never find things that fit right. Any suggestions? I might just have to resort to fruit of the loom white t's...can't seem to go wrong with those.

I have the same problem. My t-shirts hang over my legs and make my legs look small because the shirts are so damn big for fat people. Honestly there is no real solution for the problem, because no company I have ever come across makes tapered shirts that fit your lats and your stomach properly. If you have big lats/wide frame like me you might as well buy dresses.

I think i went into A&F about 2 years ago and founs NOTHINg that fit me.
And i got a little upper body becaseu i'm a sprinter.
i got the legs of a 280 lber and the upper body of a 180lbr......and even then the shirts were damn near busting @ the seams.....and don't even think about pants....lol...
i have a 34x34 waist and inseam but it seems the higher you go in the waist the shorter you need the inseam.
If you need really nice pants i can wear a 38x32 slax from BR and it's a ittle snug across my legs but not tooo bad.
Shirts from gap that are xl fit me comfortable.

This has been a problem for me for as long as I can remember. I'm 6'5" with broad shoulders and a slim waist, however the fashion industry seems to have this idea that if you have big shoulders you must have a beer gut hanging over your belt, so an XL shirt ends up looking like a dress on me, while the Medium and Large sizes arent even long enough to go to my waistline. Can't blame them tho, look at the average american guy - 5'10", overweight, sits at a desk all day, doesn't work out at all, and stuffs his face with McDonald's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The clothing companies are just catering to the masses. On one hand, it feels good to be able to say that my physique is better than that of the average american man, however it's still a bitch to buy clothes. If I find a shirt that I REALLY like but it doesnt fit right in the waist, I'll buy whatever size fits in the shoulders (usually XL) and have it custom tailored to fit me in the waist.
Also, as much as I used to be completely anti-Abercrombie, their 2006 summer collection is pretty much all 'muscle' fit, meaning its bigger in the shoulders, hugs the arms nicely, wide in the chest and tapered in at the waist. I know its not going to fit everybody as well as it does me, but thats the thing, not everybody's bodies are built the same. You just have to find a clothing company that makes clothes that fit your body type. I did a LOT of searching over the years, so if you have any questions about finding a clothing line for your body size PM me and I can probably offer a few suggestions. Either that or start your own company as suggested above (not a bad idea) lol

Express and no where else baby. I fit into the Large shirts dead perfectly, tight around the arms, tight around the back, and loose on the abs... its perfect.
If i flex my back/chest i bet i can pop off some button on the shirts, its great haha i feel like the hulk

it just sucks with cotton t's because they may fit in the store, but after a few washes/dries they completely change shape

Check out Polo/Ralph Lauren, their styles seem to go "Wider" as they get bigger; vs. longer as they get larger.

I'm probably going to be the only one who says this... but I buy my clothes from Costco. They have some good stuff. Just hard finding my size. Pants are 36x36. Hagger and Docker pants rock. Tommy H. jeans fit me great too. They also carry some great dress shirts, and polos too.

i like express too, their shirts are made to taper much more. Polo custom fits bought a size too large are good too. express jeans are the only ones i can wear at all anymore. i dont like/look good in a straight leg, but everybody else's boot cut looks like i am wearing wranglers!

Tuck the shirt in! ~_^ Problem solved.
-
03-02-2006, 02:28 PM #36
yea but it rarely looks good walking around with a tucked in tee
-
03-02-2006, 03:11 PM #37
fvck tucking my shirt in..I refuse.
-

If you have a tight waist, show it off. Most men don't have a tight waist and so that's why they don't tuck it in. How better to distiguish your self from the masses of fatties?
