Guys, save your money. This movie is AWFUL!!! The opening scene is pretty cool but this movie sucks in so many ways that i can't begin to tell you.

It had too much Hong Kong Fuey stuff in it and was so predictible. One of those movies where a guy kills ten dudes in a fight and one scene where all kinds of guns pointed at him (some from roof tops) miss him but he kills them all.

I think it will appeal to an older crowd.

For me the message is what tied it together, he wasn't just some badass, he was following a higher power and therefore was guided and protected. I'll get the dvd when it comes out.

I am old!!! 42. Denzel was great in "Man on Fire" and his acting is superb in this movie. "T", without going into too much detail (and ruining the movie for others) didn't you think the whole part with the old couple was idiotic? Again, i REALLY wanted to like this movie.

No, they were deranged from eating the wrong things.

I thought it played into the theme superbly.

Yeah, I was going with the whole "protected thing" but then a part happened where he suddenly wasn't so protected. Movies can be outrageous but they have to stay within their own parameters. Terminator is a great example of what i'm trying to convey.

    ^^^

The only reason this movie was appealing to me was exactly this: he wasn't just some guy going around killing people in a post apocalyptic world, a-la the Mad Max series, but there was a something deeper.

I'm going to see it tomorrow, can't wait.

    Yes. I understand your point.

Preditor was excellent, the first one.

Rambo's first movie was the best also.

"T" you present your views without the typical internet "brawls". That stuff gets soooooo boring. We have different opinions of the movie and can disagree based upon what we perceive to be the merits of the flick(or in my case, the lack thereof). I hate when people turn every discussion into an argument.

this reminds me of a scene of this movie "Equilibrium" it's played by Christian Bale, it's exactly as you described it.

I LOVED Mad Max, this flick is like comparing "Thunder Dome" to the original. Campy outfits and all.

    Mad Max was excellent.

Mel Gibson is a real bad ass in that.

I would to if my wife and child were killed.

This movie could have been so much better. Mad Max was hardcore but like i said, this movie is more like Thunderdome. Just very goofy. I could present my views much better but i would have to give away too much of the plot and may piss off those who have yet to see it.

Yeah, I saw it in theaters awhile back and enjoyed it.
It just came out on dvd I think, so I watched it again. Pretty awesome movie.

And from others, I've seen it highly rated. I only know one person that thought it was bad. Bad isn't the word.. uninteresting because she is not into those types of movies.
