Basically i'm looking to buy a new camcorder and i'm clueless as to what i should get. The more reviews i read the more confused i get. ANybody know if the ones that record directly to dvds are better than those that record to minidv's????

only problem i have with that one is it doesnt come with an internal light and doesnt even have the option to add one. any advice?

how much are you willing to spend?
Sony has a really good hd camera. That one records to mini dv's.
